meet alkimia’s co-founders
zoe fitzgerald
As a dedicated facilitator, designer, consultant and coach, Zoe Fitzgerald is passionate about creating spaces where the human spirit can flourish. For over 20 years, she has worked with private and non-profit sectors in more than 30 countries across Asia, Europe, the Americas and the Middle East.

She is experienced in group process and learning experience design and facilitation and uses a variety of innovative and participatory approaches. These processes include the Thinking Environment, Deep Democracy, Team Coaching, Liberating Structures, Human Centred Design, Kaospilot’s Vision Backcasting, Theory U and Art of Hosting Meaningful Conversations. Her focus is on helping learners access and expand their creativity, compassion and capacity to learn, collaborate and change.
During her career, Zoe worked with banks for eight years in three different countries teaching diversity, inclusion, leadership development, employee engagement, organisational development and change management. She also spent over five years working as an external consultant in people, team and organisational development, innovation and workshop facilitation and coaching across multiple levels of organisational leadership in multiple industries and geographies. Zoe also spent four years full-time as a national and international director in a global youth leadership development not-for-profit organisation. She works in her native English and also in Portuguese and Spanish.
Based in Melbourne, Australia, Zoe co-founded Alkimia with Ramon Marmolejos in 2017. Driven by her purpose, she is committed to designing, developing and delivering learning that matters.

With over 20 years of experience in transformational learning, Ramon Marmolejos is dedicated to developing the people, teams and organisations that the world needs. As a facilitator, learning designer and strategy consultant, his purpose is to transform learning to transform worlds.

Working with executive teams and leaders at multinational companies, global third sector organisations and top universities around the world, Ramon helps learners become bolder versions of themselves. His focus is on delivering transformational human capital strategy, leadership development, organisational change, diverse and inclusive workplaces and design thinking. In his pursuit of bringing meaningful and positive change to the world, he is committed to helping leaders tackle the toughest issues of our time, including education, diversity, health care, energy and environmental sustainability.
Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in the USA, Ramon graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and completed an International MBA at IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. He trained in Design Thinking at the University of Virginia and is a certified Kaospilot Learning Design Agency facilitator. In 2010, he co-founded Emzingo, a Certified B-Corporation working with purpose-driven leaders, teams and organisations to drive innovation, inspire responsible leadership and connect business performance to social and environmental impact. After working in North America, South America, Europe and Africa, Ramon moved to Australia and co-founded Alkimia with Zoe Fitzgerald.
Together, they are having a meaningful and positive impact on the world through transformational learning!
